The next chapter of Mogdesign

2014
Last week was exactly 9 years since I started Mogdesign. My goal was to deliver innovative projects for happy clients that would stay for years. Fast forward a few years later we had a proper company, an amazing team including my co-founder David Lukac and nearly every Drupal expert there was in Slovakia.

Over the past few years we have completed a number of amazing projects for our clients and many of them have became our friends. We got to build a network of 150+ websites for Global Entrepreneurship Week - the worlds largest celebration of innovators and entrepreneurs. We’ve also had the privilege to work with amazing organizations like Kauffman Foundation, World Economic Forum, United Nations or Habitat for Humanity who are changing the world to become a better place.

We’ve been able to innovate – creating Drupalfund – the crowdfunding platform that's helping to fund key initiatives like Rules for Drupal 8. We also had the privilege of design Drupal 7 & Drupal 8 logo.

3 quick reasons why supporting #d8rules is important for Drupal future

1) Turning point in embracing crowdfunding

I see D8rules project as a key to opening trust and success of future larger crowdfunding projects on Drupalfund. We've seen 7 successful although smaller campaigns, raised nearly $15,000 USD from around 150 funders, but we didn’t have a project of this size yet. I believe that If we raise enough funds to fully support #d8rules project, it will open the trust of our community in crowdfunding and enable us to use crowdfunding as a real catalyst to boost Drupal development.

GEW Russia and Turkey successfully translated their national websites in less than five days

04
Feb
2014

translation framework The national websites for Russia and Turkey are the first ones to be translated! It took less than the standard two weeks - only 5 days to fully implement and translate their sites! The cooperation between the local translator and our technical team was very easy and smooth. The implementation was also successful thanks to well-prepared documentation, translation instructions and optimized technical processes happening in the background and implemented by the Mogdesign team. The National Website Translation Framework helps to:

  • Build awareness about the GEW website within a country,
  • Make GEW more attractive for organizations and sponsors,
  • Be more understandable for all GEW participants,
  • Be more connected with national partners.
